The Painting
The painting depicts a scene of two hunting dogs, English pointers, in nature. This realistic painting sets the dogs in a beautiful natural setting of a late summer as the leaves of the trees in the background are partially turning brown.
His paintings are in private and public collections, including several European museums, such as the ones in the city of Amiens, Cambrai and Le Havre in France.

The artist
Geroges-Frédéric Rotig (also written “Rötig”) was born October 1st, 1873 in Le Havre, France. He studied at the École Nationale
Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris
He exhibited regularly at The Salon of French Artists (Le Salon des Artistes Français) starting in 1894. He was awarded several prizes and medals in 1898, 1902, 1904 and the Prix Rosa Bonheur in 1913.
